Condon Shell Summer Concert Series 2026

Nothing is more fabulous than New England's outdoor music season! This summer, once again Medford is hosting 5 nights of music at the Condon Shell, next to the Mystic River.

All shows are Thursdays at 6:30 and are free and appropriate for all ages. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy great live music and some fun farmer's market fare! Put the dates on your summer calendar now.

Susan Cattaneo Band (Americana/Folk) 

Medford's summer concert series more than a great show—it’s a hometown celebration. Susan Cattaneo is one of Boston’s most respected songwriters, and she proudly calls Medford home. Her music weaves together rock, folk, blues, and country storytelling with sharp wit and heartfelt honesty.

Susan is a shining example of the artistry that grows in our community and we were thrilled to sit with her for our Meet Me in Medford interview series. Get to know the artist behind the music here. Performing at the Medford Condon Shell on Thursday, July 9th.

Kier Byrnes and the Kettle Burners (Alt Country)

Back this summer season is Kier Byrnes and the Kettle Burners, a high-octane band with deep local roots and a national resume. Their accordion-infused mix of Celtic, polka, folk, and country rock has earned them a New England Music Award for Americana Act of the Year and spots alongside legends like Willie Nelson and Old Crow Medicine Show. The full lineup—Jason McGorty, Monica Sager, Joe Miller, Dan DiBacco, Brian Lilienthal, and Kier Byrnes—brings unmatched energy to the stage. Performing at the Medford Condon Shell on Thursday, July 23rd.

Jay Psaros (Singer/Songwriter) 

Singer-songwriter Jay Psaros is home on the South Shore and performing locally after two years of touring where he shared the stage with musicians like Gordon Lightfoot, Three Dog Night and Collective Soul. He describes his music as a "warm, inviting" mix of folk, rock and Americana. For a listen, check out his albums, eps and singles on iTunes and Spotify. Lydia Harrell (Soulful Folk, Blues, and Jazz) 

Known locally as Lydia "Lovely Singer" Harrell, she describes her music as "more than a sound - an invitation to feel, reflect, and connect." Her album In My Pocket is available on all streaming platforms and if you missed her live performance at the library this spring, don't worry! She is bringing her dramatic blend of Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Soul to the Condon Shell this summer. Performing at the Medford Condon Shell Thursday, Aug 20th.

The Grownup Noise (Indie Rock) 

Long-time local favorites The Grownup Noise have re-grouped and their 2026 album - released this winter at Medford's Deep Cuts - was described by WBUR as "beautifully dreamy and impeccably crafted." A sweet and satisfying way to end the summer! Performing at the Medford Condon Shell Thursday, Sept 3rd.

Laura Brereton, music teacher and singer-songwriter, is the driving force and emcee of the Condon Shell Summer Concert Series—without her dedication, none of this would be possible. As talent manager for this series and many other musical events across our community, she works tirelessly to unite people through live music.
