Meet Me in Medford – West Medford Spotlight
In this new monthly blog series, I’m going to be highlighting all of the great neighborhoods we have here in Medford. I’m going to start this month with West Medford…I am biased – I live here!

West Medford is the shining gem of Medford (again, I am biased!)  Nestled between the Upper and Lower Mystic lakes to the west and Oak Grove cemetery to the east, West Medford is mostly known for its grand, single family homes on large lots.

Nestled between Winchester and Arlington, West Medford features some fantastic local restaurants. Some of my personal favorites include Snappy Patty’s, Joe Pizza, Bistro 5, and Pikachi Ramen.

If you like history, check out The Brooks Estate. This historic property, owned by the City of Medford, is slowly being rehabbed with the goal of making the property a shared community space. Feel free to walk the grounds and enjoy the hiking trails and wildlife spottings.

To me, living in West Medford is the best spot to be in. We have easy access to both Winchester Center and Mass Ave in Arlington. We are less than a 10 minute drive to Davis Square; 15 minutes to Assembly Row, and we have our own MBTA Commuter Rail stop. Add to that the Mystic Lakes for boating, fishing and walking trails…West Medford residents can easily enjoy all that Medford has to offer and more.
